It's Okay to Be Okay -- Okay?

It's okay to be okay, okay? I have noticed this trend of EVERYTHING IS AWESOME needing to be the constant state. If it's NOT then something must be wrong with you. I disagree. It is fine to just be fine. I don't understand a need to be in a constant state of excitement, whether it be for positive or negative reasons. It strikes me that this need for constant drama is a dangerous and damaging by-product of the idea.
Don't get me wrong; I think it's great that there are people who wake up and jump out of bed just full of exuberance. That's wonderful if it's naturally occurring. Those people are often great examples for people who maybe have a little less pep in the morning to get them going, but I don't think it's necessary for EVERYONE to have this experience. It IS fine for some people to wake up and quietly begin to engage with their environments without a lot of fanfare.
Sometimes a "Good morning!!!" CAN be met with a simple nod and wave. It isn't really necessary for every person to immediately go into a major cheer routine as soon as they're standing. It's pretty tiring. If someone meets your, "How are you doing?" with, "Eh, I'm fine." let them be fine. <shrug>
People really should be free to be how they are and feel what they feel. If that person isn't jumping up and down, does it actually hurt anyone else?  Maybe try allowing other people to feel as they like.
